We are looking for a skilled and passionate Motor Mechanics Tutor to join the education team at HMP Highpoint.
In this role, you will deliver hands-on vocational training to small groups of learners, helping them develop practical skills in motor vehicle maintenance and repair, alongside essential workplace behaviours. You will support learners to gain industry-relevant knowledge and prepare for employment opportunities within the automotive sector.

Prison education plays a vital role in rehabilitation and reducing reoffending. You will work with adult learners who may have faced barriers to education but are motivated to learn new skills and improve their prospects.
With smaller class sizes and a structured environment, you’ll be able to deliver focused, practical teaching that supports learners to succeed both inside custody and on release.
No teaching qualification? No problem.
Full training and support will be provided to help you gain a teaching or assessing qualification during your probation period.
